Doing Life Together

In Small Groups, we get to form friendships with one another, grow in our faith, offer support and encouragement, and have fun. Considering that the early church worshipped in large settings in the synagogues as well as in homes, we unite together similarly in order to be in deeper fellowship with God and one-another. Small groups meet in homes, at offices, and sometimes at coffee shops. Some are specific to gender, some share commonalities of life stage, others are a wonderful mix of different ages, areas and interests. God has reconciled us not only to Himself but also to each other. This "each other" is called His Church. Thus, we intentionally strive toward community. The Chosen

What Does It Mean To Be Chosen?

Join us for our church-wide study on the TV Series The Chosen - the first ever multi-season series about the life of Jesus Christ, created, directed, and co-written by Dallas Jenkins. Every Sunday morning you will hear a message from Pastor Mike that goes along with each episode of the TV Series. Choose a mid-week small group that fits best for you where we will go through a study guide together. The study guide "parallels each episode, connecting readers to the Bible in a brand-new way. It includes:

  • A deeper look at Isaiah 43 and its fulfillment in Jesus and the lives of His followers (including us!)
  • Script excerpts, quotes, and illustrations from the show
  • Guiding questions for groups or individuals

Being chosen by Jesus has beautiful and far-reaching implications - although it says even more about the Chooser than the choosees. We are loved because He's love. We are saved because He's merciful. We belong to the family of God because Jesus invites us, making the Bible and all its promises as true for us today as it was for God's chosen nation.

What does it actually mean to be Chosen? To answer that question, we're going Old school - Testament that is - which leads us back to the New. Which always leads us directly to Jesus."

Discover what it means when Jesus chooses YOU.

“Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.”

John 4:7-8

Groups come in all shapes and sizes — married couples, singles, men, women, kids, no kids, workplace, under 20, over 40 — the list goes on. No matter where you are in life, there’s a group for you. Ready to dive in? Text smallgroup to (641) 732-8090 to find a group that fits you or if you feel God nudging you to lead this kind of community, text sgleader to (641) 732-8090 to start one of your own.
